Grinberg Method

What is it?

This method combines physical touch with somatic release making it a psychosomatic method. It helps you come deeper in contact with tensions in the body, and blockages that are keeping you stuck physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Patterns

We have all learned patterns of tension in the body. When something unsettling comes up, we feel it in our thoughts, our emotions, and our body responds by tensing into a pattern.

Challenging Experiences

You could say trauma... But simply put, we experience really unsettling, harmful, sad, painful things in life. And when they happen at a young age— which for almost everybody, they did—we do anything we can to protect ourselves.

Protection Creates a Pattern

Protection makes us feel safe. So we go into the mind to create stories, we shove emotions down, and we create a pattern of tension in the body. Think about when you have seen a scared child, they oftentimes fold in on themselves. This pattern of tension expresses every time we experience challenging circumstances — yes even the smallest of things like a disagreement.

The Pattern Lives on Until we Let it Go

This pattern won't just go away with time. In fact, it often reinforces more and more as we walk though life. It is our coping mechanism, the more we do it, the stronger it gets.

The Grinberg Method gives us an opportunity to let go of these patterns and walk anew.

I do not represent the Grinberg method yet, as I am in my first year of work and am in training. If you would like to receive a session, they are donation based, and can be done only in-person in Boulder, CO
